In preparation for the upcoming Super Bowl, Brick studies football; Mr. Ehlert asks Frankie to accompany him to a managerial seminar.

The Middle is an American comedy television series that premiered on ABC on September 30, 2009. The show features Frances "Frankie" Heck (née Spence, Patricia Heaton), a middle-class, Midwestern woman married to Mike Heck (Neil Flynn) who reside in the small fictional town of Orson, Indiana. They are the parents of three children, Axl, Sue, and Brick. Brian Doyle-Murray plays Frankie's boss, Mr. Ehlert, at "Ehlert Motors". Chris Kattan plays Frankie's friend Bob at the car dealership where they work. The show was picked up for a full season of 22 episodes after airing just two episodes. On January 10, 2011, the show was renewed for a third season by ABC.
