Mauricio "Shogun" Rua vs. Jon Jones Prediction: The last time we saw Rua come back from a knee injury, he was a shell of his former self. Will he be as off against Jones as he was against Griffin that time? I doubt it. But given his past experience with this kind of thing, I have to wonder if concern is playing into his head at all.
In the end, I think that Rua holds a striking advantage. But Jones' athleticism will allow him to hold his own on his feet. From a takedowns and wrestling perspective, I think that Jones possesses a significant advantage that will make Shogun's day on his feet more difficult, as he'll have to worry about more than just hands and feet.
Given that we've never seen Jones in a tough fight, which this will inevitably be, it's hard to know how things will turn out. But I'm going on a gut feeling here that we're all about to see the dawn of the age of Jones, due to athleticism combined with more proficient wrestling.
