In the last episode of Californication "Hank is evicted from his apartment, probably due to confusion with Sasha. Hank went to live with Becca and Karen again. Karen keeps him pardon and take it as far as if they want to be hurt, but every time Becca gets hurt in the process too, and probably more than anyone.

Hank's trial turns into a character assassination.

A nervous Hank discovers that he’s got good reason to press the panic button what time his trial turns into an all-out character killing, with even friendly witnesses Charlie and Karen unable to portray him as anything other than a drunken, oversexed lout.

Sophisticated and unique, this comedy centers on novelist Hank Moody (David Duchovny) who struggles to raise his 12-year-old daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin), while still carrying a torch for his ex-girlfriend Karen (McElhone). His obsession with truth-telling and self-destructive behavior drinks, drugs and relationships -- are both destroying and enriching his career.

In the next three episodes, we’ll start to see a journey through the past three seasons of Californication as character testimonies come to light and all of Hank’s past skeleton’s are brought before the court. Will things work out well for Hank? It’s going to come down to Hank’s knowledge of Mia’s age as well as her character.
